sought are:

Target is obtaining or has obtained a recognised
third party environmental management certification e.g. ISO 14001
series.

Target product or service offers sustainable
substitute for non-sustainable product or service e.g. organic production
or processing, sustainably managed natural resources especially energy,
water or waste management.

Target product or service reduces customers'
environmental impact e.g. telecommuting infrastructure.
-
Target product or service leverages knowledge
resources e.g. technology transfer or education (preference for systems
that improve thinking vs. rote, evaluate merit vs. time, operate to
shared values vs. hierarchy, involvement vs. instruction etc).

Target operations demonstrates globally responsible
initiatives e.g. recycling, reuse, reduction of energy consumption,
even though certification has not been sought.

Target human resource management follows cooperative
model e.g. max levels of 8, maximum ratio of high/low compensation
is 20x, distributed decision making, work sharing.

Target has cooperative ownership and operation
structures.
